Senior Prom

• The Aiken County Senior Prom was held June 17th at the Odell Weeks Center.

• This great event was organized by Southern Care with support from local sponsors.

• The Agency provided transportation.

• King and Queen was crowned.

• Salsa lessons were given by Eduardo from A&E Dance Studio.

• Prom pictures were taken by Listas Studio.  

Best Driver of the Year Award for Urban Transit

• The Transportation Association of South Carolina (TASC) yearly conference
  was held at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, in Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
  The four day conference, in cooperation with SCDOT, brought together vendors, transportation  employees and transportation officials from all across the state.

• William F Hobbs (left), Aiken Area Council on Aging, receives the Best Driver of the Year award for Urban Transit. Presenting the award is Hart Baker, SCDOT Deputy Secretary for Intermodal and Freight Programs.

• Mr. Hobbs has been employed with the Aiken Area Council on Aging for 19 years as a driver for the Best Friend Express.  Mr. Hobbs is an exemplary employee and a great asset to the agency.  During his 19 year tenure he has not had one single traffic violation or accident.
